The kiosk will be integrated with the installation but will provide a uniquely different experience. It will have a large catalogue of both oral story telling and short video segments. With the capability of complex multi-media functions, it will also have the capacity to function as a full library for the Eldridge Street Synagogue including information about architectural preservation, and the rich role the synagogue currently plays in the fabric of the Lower East Side community. The backbone of the kiosk is a map framework that locates all the people, stories, artifacts and places referred to in a clear and accessible interface. The map functions as a conduit to the information.
